As part of the tunnel construction works, a total of 401 tunnels with a length of 661 km were built between 2003 and May 2023. A a result, the number of tunnels in our road network has increased to 484, with a total length of 711 km.
By the end of 2023, our goal is to have a total of 761 km of tunnels actively serving in our road network. This ongoing effort will enhance transportation efficiency and provide smoother journeys for commuters.
