Access to Şanlıurfa City Hospital has Become Easier

The Şanlıurfa City Hospital Junction and Connection Roads Project, implemented to improve Şanlıurfa's transport infrastructure, will facilitate access to the hospital while also helping to reduce traffic congestion in the area.

As part of the project, which was designed as a 1.7-kilometer-long divided road with a bituminous hot mix (BSK) pavement, a 2x191-meter-long Karaköprü Bridge was constructed on the Northern Eastern Ring Road to facilitate transit traffic. In addition, a 60-meter-long additional Kanal Bridge was built alongside the existing bridges to facilitate access to the hospital area.

With improved access to Şanlıurfa City Hospital, which has 1,700 beds and is expected to serve 50,000 people daily, citizens and patients requiring emergency healthcare services will be able to reach the hospital quickly and safely. Upon completion of the project, it is aimed to prevent potential traffic congestion around the hospital.

Azerbaycan Boulevard Intersection Eased Traffic

Azerbaycan Boulevard Intersection which was put into service in accordance with Şanlıurfa's growing population, economic activities and regional transportation potential, has contributed to facilitating inner-city transportation.

As part of the project, which was constructed as a 2.5-kilometer-long divided road with bituminous hot mix (BSK) pavement, the 2x194-meter-long overpass bridge provides transit transportation on the Şanlıurfa-Diyarbakır Road. The underpass bridge which provides a connection between Buluntu Hoca Boulevard and Azerbaycan Boulevard, was completed as a part of project.

By directing the increased vehicle traffic resulting from new TOKİ residential areas and growing development in Karaköprü district to the underpasses and overpasses, traffic congestion on the main road and connecting roads has been reduced. The project aimed to make transportation between the Şanlıurfa-Diyarbakır Road and Buluntu Hoca Boulevard and Azerbaycan Boulevard faster, safer and more comfortable.
