MEGA PROJECTS ARE BEING ADDED UP TO ANTALYA'S TRANSPORTATION NETWORK

Director General of Highways Ahmet Gülşen inspected the ongoing strategic highway projects in Antalya. Director General Gülşen visited the construction sites of the Mediterranean Coastal Road section between Antalya and Gazipaşa and the Antalya-Alanya Motorway, and received a briefing from officials on the ongoing works.

As part of the inspections, the construction works on the Mediterranean Coastal Road between Antalya and Gazipaşa were first reviewed. Once the ongoing works, which are being carried out in accordance with the region's challenging topography, are completed, the transportation standard along the route will be improved, providing safer and more comfortable travel. The corridor, which is of great importance for tourism, agriculture and trade, is expected to provide faster and uninterrupted transportation, making a significant contribution to regional development.

Director General Gülşen then inspected the Antalya-Alanya Motorway construction site. The project which will provide a long-term solution to the transportation demand along Antalya's eastern corridor, it will ensure safer, faster and more comfortable transportation by reducing traffic congestion on the existing state road. Especially The motorway, which is being implemented in consideration of the increased tourism activity during the summer months, will strengthen the region's logistics capacity while making a significant contribution to its economic and social development.

During the construction site visits, Director General Gülşen met with the project teams and emphasized the importance of carrying out the works in line with the planned schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and occupational health and safety. Received briefing from technical team on construction site, Gülşen stated that every stage of the projects is being monitored meticulously and wished the personnel, who have been carrying out their duties with dedication, continued success in their work.

These investment, implemented in line with the goal of making Türkiye's transportation infrastructure stronger, safer and more sustainable, will enhance accessibility between cities while reducing travel times, improving traffic safety, and lowering fuel consumption and carbon emissions, thereby delivering long-term value to both the national economy and quality of life of citizens.​
