TO NEVŞEHİR-AKSARAY ROAD TO RAISE STANDARDS
On Wednesday, March 27, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu visited Nevşehir to inspect ongoing transportation projects and developments. Accompanied by the Director General of Highways, Ahmet Gülşen, the Minister gathered detailed updates from officials on site.
"Nevşehir -Aksaray Road will be covered with bituminous hot mix pavement"
Uraloğlu pointed out that the Kayseri - Kırşehir - Ankara Road and Nevşehir - Acıgöl - Aksaray roads have been transformed into divided roads, and that they have completed important highway projects such as Kayseri - Avanos Separation - Ürgüp - Nevşehir Road, Gülşehir - Avanos Road, Nevşehir - Niğde Road and Nevşehir South Ring Road. He emphasized that the Ankara-Niğde Highway was also completed and put into service and that this project contributed to the development of the cities through which it passes. He also stated that the Nevşehir - Acıgöl - Aksaray Road, which is currently being converted to bituminous hot mix pavement, is being converted to bituminous hot mix pavement, and that they are continuing four important highway projects such as Nevşehir-Ürgüp-Boğazköprü Road, 103 Houses Interchange and the restoration of the Historic Avanos Bridge.
"Nevşehir Ring Road to Meet Motorway Standards"
Minister Uraloğlu announced the commencement of work on the Nevşehir Ring Road. Spanning 16.7 km and designed to divided highway standards, the project has been included in the 2024 Investment Program. "We plan to hold a project tender later this year to complete the remaining parts. The bypass will feature 6 multi-level interchanges, 2 overpasses, and 5 underpasses, equipping it with motorway-grade specifications," stated Uraloğlu.
