Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge

With its main span of 1,408 meters, the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the longest bridge in the world to accommodate a railway system, has a total length of 2,164 meters, including its side openings.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which opened on August 26, 2016, features suspension bridge towers that reach a height of 330 meters, making it the widest bridge in the world with a width of 59 meters.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, designed as a combination of a suspension bridge and a cable-stayed bridge, is a unique and striking example within its category due to its hybrid design.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is located in the Odayeri-Paşaköy section, which constitutes the passage of the Northern Marmara Motorway, a major highway project, through Istanbul..

With the opening of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Motorway in Istanbul, the daily traffic congestion that used to occur on the existing Bosphorus bridges and surrounding roads, causing time, labor, and fuel losses almost every day, has been significantly reduced.

Fast and safe transportation to Istanbul Airport, located in the north of Istanbul, has been established.

The Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu and the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which are prestigious projects in every aspect, are symbolic projects of our country with their modern, aesthetic, advanced materials, and engineering techniques.
