Project Detail

Bartın-Amasra-Kurucaşile-Cide Road

The Bartın-Amasra-Kurucaşile-Cide Road, connecting Bartın to Amasra, Kurucaşile, and Cide, involves renovating the existing 90-kilometer road. This project began with the redesign of the 75-kilometer-long road.

The completed sections of the road have been gradually opened to the public. The 11.8-kilometer segment between Çakraz and Karaman Village has been constructed as a 2x2 lane road to bituminous hot mix asphalt standards and was opened to the public in 2021.

The 37.6-kilometer segment of the route consists of 23.6 kilometers of bituminous hot mix asphalt road and 14 kilometers of surface asphalt road. Additionally, the 4.5-kilometer Amasra connection is a single-lane road.

The project aims to connect the settlements in the western Black Sea region with a divided road network. The physical and geometric standards of the existing road, which traverses a small and narrow area with unsuitable gradients and widths, have been improved by raising the standards with tunnels and connecting roads, increasing transportation comfort..

The project, which provides Bartın's Kurucaşile district with a divided road standard, has shortened the route by 3.1 kilometers and reduced travel time by 15 minutes.
