Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor (TRACECA) 

TRACECA is an intergovernmental program aimed at improving international transport by means of revitalization of the Silk Road in the countries of Europe, the Black Sea, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, and the Organization of TRACECA has an intergovernmental commission which was founded in 2000 according Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for the Development of the Europe–the Caucasus–Asia Corridor which was signed at the Baku Summit in 1998.

The membership of the Organization of TRACECA consists of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. Lithuania (observer country of TRACECA) and Turkmenistan (not member of TRACECA) participate in the TRECECA program. Also, the European Commission is cooperating with the Organization of TRACECA. 

At the same time as a multi-mode regional transport network, TRACECA aims at developing economic relations, commerce, and transport linkages. The length of TRACECA Turkey highway network is 11,582 km according to the data updating studies conducted in 2017. The TRACECA highway routes in Turkey are the roads which extend to the ports (İzmir, Bandırma, Mersin, Filyos) and to the border gates (Gürbulak, Türkgözü, Kapıköy, Esendere) and which connect to the main corridor entering from Europe to Kapıkule,  following the Black Sea coastal road which meets high standard, reaching the Sarp Border Gate.
